I am a builder
This morning as I was driving home from taking Hyrum to Seminary I was thinking again and kind of hoo-hooin' about another instance in which I've failed my family. Maybe it's lack of sleep or hormones or hunger, but, man! Anyway, as I was praying about a specific challenge I'm facing I suddenly thought of a song we learned in Primary while I was in the stake Primary presidency. You can find it here. It's about how we're all builders, building an eyeball family. The chorus says, "My heavenly father sent me here, and He knows I can be song and righteous as I build my eternal family."
(On a less serious note, my tablet corrected eternal to eyeball. My eyeball family. XD)
As I thought about those words I realized that, of course, Heavenly Father had confidence in me! He's given me a lot to work for and with! I'm thankful to remember that! We all have shortcomings, but we make do with what we have, and He promises to make up the difference.
