This picture was taken 19 years ago! For our anniversary we went to a movie and had dinner. We saw Avengers: Infinity War. The ending was a bit aggravating, but overall it was a good movie. After it was all over, including the Easter Egg at the end Jeremy exclaimed, "What was that?!" He was quite disappointed that it could end that way. At least now there will be another to resolve the mess that was made. And we had dinner at China Taste. Jeremy loves that place. I don't like the one here nearly as well as the one in Globe. The food just isn't as good. But Jeremy's been waiting to go there since his birthday. Unfortunately, we'd already eaten a lot of popcorn and weren't very full.
And then the next morning we went to the Temple and did a session. It was so nice. Our anniversary was actually on a Monday, but we celebrated on Friday and Saturday before.

Silly Bub prefers to sleep on one of the chairs in our bedroom instead of his bed. But he still insists that I help him make his bed every day.
I finally fixed Jill's Easter dress from last year. I kind of did all the mending in one whack that day. She tore this dress months ago, and I just took forever to fix it. Then she made this heart.
You can still see the rip. I had to take apart the pleat. I used stitch witchery with a piece of pink fabric on the back, and then I stitched it back together. Hooray that I have a sewing machine for things like that! I originally sewed this dress all by hand, but I wasn't sure how I'd get it to stay together when I had to take it apart in the middle of a thread. But I just backstitched and we were good.
Meanwhile, Bubby drew some pictures. :)
Daddy got a blood clot in his lung. A few of us were able to go see him in the hospital. It was really scary, but it was so nice to see my peoples! Mama, Jennifer, and I had some nice conversation while Dad slept and Jeremy and the kiddos found us a hotel.
The hotel was so nice! The kiddos had such a great time there they didn't want to leave. We watched TV and had TV dinners and swam in the indoor pool and had yummy breakfast there. I think we might have to go back sometime.
The night we got there we met Mama and Jennifer for dinner at Denny's. The kids loved it! Bubby kept asking to go back to "Danny's."
While we took turns sitting with Grandpa and Grandma, the rest of us sat in the family room or watched the fish or rode the elevator. I'm telling you, they all thought it was such a great vacation!
On Saturday we all went and saw Grandpa after he got moved out of the ICU so we could wear him out so he could sleep. ;) It was fun seeing people who came to see him. And Grandma brought some card games, and we played "Dime, Dime" because we didn't have a button and Pretty Bird My Cup. Then we brought pizza for dinner because the nurse said Grandpa could have some too.

On Sunday we went to Sacrament Meeting in Show Low. Then some of us changed, and we checked out of the hotel. We went to say goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa before heading homeward. Kelly was there and I didn't even get a picture!
On our way home we stopped and had dinner with Grandma Burk. Rachel was there too, since it was Mother's day. And Aaron and Susie and Joe came too. It was fun being all together there. Rachel cuddled up to Hyrum like this and looked so pleased. Ha ha!
I think I forgot to mention - Rachel and Susie bought a house down in the valley. We haven't seen it yet, but they've really enjoyed having their own place.
The little guys fell asleep on the way home. I walked Bubby in and he fell right back asleep on the couch.

And here's that trebuchet construction I was talking about.
I took Michael to get his glasses fixed at Walmart. The nose pieces had broken off. Henry saw all the glasses and wanted them. He pointed them and then to his eyes and then said, "Eye! Eye!" So I got him some cheapo sunglasses to share, and he was so happy. He likes to cuddle up with random things at bed time - books, basketballs, glasses, play-doh - you name it.
Gotta wear at least half of them at once! ;)
Grandma and Grandpa showed up just in time to watch the first launching of the trebuchet. We all walked over to the stadium to watch. It took some tweaking, but they got it to work. :)
It was great to see Grandpa up and moving without a walker and looking less bruised. He even walked two laps.
Henry decided he likes Grandma! He kept running back to her to sit on her lap.
Becca came to town that day too, so we had a little get-together at the pond. There was lots of seaweed. Aaron happens to have a bunch of kayaks. You can walk to the pond from his house, so that works nice. Jill took to kayaking like she'd been doing it all her life. The bigger kids went with the Badger grandparents to the Temple to do baptisms and then to dinner. Gotta celebrate all the graduations and such! The little ones had a great time too.

Timmy was worried about the beach ball that was getting away. He was going to swim out there to get it, but Becca come to the rescue and used a kayak to get it.
Henry decided he needed a ride too. (Henry and I were late to the party. I wasn't ready to go when Jeremy and the kiddos were, and I didn't want to leave before Grandma and Grandpa and the boys did, and then Henry fell asleep. They were about ready to leave the pond by the time we got there, but that's OK.) That's Jill in the yellow one and Papa and Henry in the blue one.
And after that we went to Aaron's house. We were going to get Mexican food, but Juanitas was closing, so Kenzie and I hopped in her car and we went and got pizza. It was kind of fun to chat with her a bit. She'll be starting a music degree in the fall and is kind of nervous.
And then on Sunday we got to go see this cute little fella blessed.
Taylor sat with us. She loves salad. She got about as much dressing as salad, and then it spilled, so she had to lick it up. She thought this picture was funny. :)
Lunch was BBQ pork sammiches. Yum! And pork and beans with bacon. And ice cream cake! It was fun to see their house. They are house-sitting right now, and it's a big one. They have a huge yard too!
It was fun to see Kelly and Rick, and Jennifer, Emily, and CJ! I love these boys together. :)

Yesterday we had pack meeting at the pool! Our Webelos haven't earned anything yet because they hardly ever come, but we had fun! I didn't get to swim. I'm sure you can guess why. :( But that did mean I got to take pictures. :) The kiddos were so, so happy to be at the pool again! And earlier this week we walked down to the college and bought a family pass for the summer. It opens next week. :) And I also signed Jill, Timmy, and Bubby up for swimming lessons at the Safford pool! Gonna be another busy summer!
