April Part 2

Henry and Bubby randomly fell asleep one day.

Jill brought all these down and needed a picture.

I still look awful, but I lost two pants sizes somewhere since the last time I bought pants!  :D

Aaron convinced Jeremy to sign up for the Varsity Triathlon.  He didn't really want to, but he did.  Here's him waiting for Aaron to show up because Aaron had a helmet for him, and he couldn't compete without it.

Here he is at the start of the bike part (spectators couldn't watch the swimming that came before this).

Kenzie's sister's husband competed too.  He beat both Jeremy and Aaron.

Aaron was a ways after the brother-in-law but still before Jeremy.  Jeremy's bike needed work, and he also needed his inhaler. :/

Here's Jeremy coming to the end of the bike part.

They had a big blow-up finish gate.

Kenzie got there with her little girlies just in time to see Brooklynn finish running.

 Brookie

Here comes Jeremy!

All done, heading back to the truck

We dyed Easter eggs!

Bubby worked long on this one.  It came out so pretty!

This is Henry's Primary class.  Brother Holly got out his phone and showed them the Easter video the church has on YouTube.

It was evening before we let the kiddos have their chocolate bunnies and hunt for eggs.  Poor guys!  There was one thing and then another.  Our church doesn't let out until 2, and we don't do Easter eggs before church.  And then we had lunch, and then a nap or something, and then dinner.  And then FINALLY we hid the eggs.

Timmy emptied the jelly beans out of his eggs and put them in a bag.  He was very happy. :)

Timmy got a few badges at pack meeting.

This particular day at Jill's school the students were supposed to dress up like what they're going to be when they grow up.  Jill wants to be a dentist.

Joshua has really enjoyed Men's Chorus and is planning to do it next semester.  Yea!  Here he is all dressed up for the first night of Spring Sing.  Poor guy did NOT want a picture.  The second night was Father's and Son's, so Joshua couldn't go.  Sigh.  Maybe next year.

Papa made him pose too.  Ha ha!

Jeremy made me do it!  I don't take photos and Spring Sing, but I did this time.  Joshua's third from the left, on that lower riser step.

Hyrum got this certificate of release and letter from the Temple.  I'm so thankful that he got to work in the Temple before his mission!  It was such a blessing!

Here are Spring Sing photos from the college's Flickr page.  See Joshua right there?  :D

One of the songs was from Ghana.  They had a guy playing the drum while they sang, and they all kind of danced a bit on the risers.  Joshua looked so natural when he did it!

And then they all came to the front of the stage and did some more intense dancing, like a dance break.  Joshua did amazing!  I really wish I had a video of that!  He's kind of hidden in this picture, but you can see his brown shoes (gotta get him new shoes!) and I think that's his arm raised above his head.

And Grandma and Grandpa Badger were set apart as missionaries!  We're so excited for them to start serving in the Nauvoo Temple!

This month was hard on me.  Allergies have really come out, and that means headaches and itchies.  Ugh.  It's been bad.  I've been so tired.

It's been really fun talking to Hyrum.  It takes a lot of the pain of separation away.  It's just so neat.  I wanted to transcribe what we said because it's been neat, but so far I just haven't had time.  Everything I do every day takes so long to get through that I never have time for anything else.  It's because of those stinking allergies.  I'm just so darn tired.

I also started going to the chiropractor.  I'm trying to decide which of the 3 treatment plans they gave me that I will choose.  I have had a LOT of headaches lately, and my bad neck always contributes.  The chiropractor took my history and x-rays.  They kept talking about loss of my range of motion.  How do they know I ever had that good a range of motion?  I told them my neck has been messed up since birth, and they've never seen me before.  I guess I can only expect so much from a chiropractor.  They popped my neck and stuff and put me on the water massage table.  I didn't have to take headache medicine the next day, but most of the days since I have.  It's been so discouraging.  I feel like allergies give me bad enough mood swings.  I don't need the ones the headache medicine gives me too.  I just feel like I've been a mess.  It's frustrating in the extreme.  And some of those headaches have been monsters.

Another frustration is that I'm not a very good mom when my emotions are all over the map.  My little fellas are feeling neglected.  It makes me feel so bad.  But I'm trying.

Cotton plants are popping up all over.  That makes me happy.

Yesterday evening Henry was running around with a stick and accidentally hit the finch cage, and it fell.  The female's leg broke.  I believe Hyrum named her Nippet.  The male lost some feathers on the back of his head, but he's doing fine.  The girl died in the middle of the night sometime last night.  I'm so sad.  Those birds are so cute, and they were always hopping around and chirping, so happy. :( Jill was quite upset when the birds got hurt.  She was searching the whole house for a book about birds so she could help.  (We have no such book.)
