Henry turned 9 months old on Hyrum's birthday. He's just melt-your-face-off cute, as Hyrum would say. ;)
He didn't want to hold still and was getting hungry too, but you can kind of see top and bottom teeth in this one.
Time for birthday cake!
He picked Guadalupe Pie, which we affectionately call Guadalupy Poopy. I think Aaron is to blame for the nickname. It's a layered dessert. It has a crust on the bottom, then layer with cream cheese, powdered sugar, and Cool Whip, then a layer of chocolate pudding, then vanilla pudding, then more Cool Whip. Yum! And yes, that is 16 candles (make a lovely sight...).
Opening a present that Timmy made and wrapped himself
Just what he always needed, right?! Thanks, Timmy!
Jill made this one.
Michael made this one. I guess they just NEEDED to make something, and they just used what they had.
Papa gave him his old hymn book. :) He wanted a pocket size one, and we just happened to have one. :)
Almond Joy - his favorite
A new camping chair
I broke the old one. :(
And Amazon gift card? What?
A case? For what?
What is it? What is it?
A new Kindle! It ended up being a lot nicer than I thought. It's a touchscreen, but not super fancy. Still, it's fancier and less banged up than mine! ;) He's been quite happy with it.
Bubby!
Timmy decided Henry needed a bottle one day. He didn't really know what to do with it, but he was happy, though. :)
One night there was a Title 1 party followed by pack meeting, so I made Michael come with Jill, Henry and me. He wasn't happy about it at first, but then we had yummy nachos, and they had door prizes. Michael got this ball, and he found the stars laying around too. I think he was glad he went.
Timmy and Bubby
I know you already know, but I LOVE sleeping kiddos! So cute!
Michael helped Henry walk on the treadmill. It lasted a few seconds before he started to freak out. Poor fella.
Hyrum's ordination day!
We didn't get pictures of him or his Papa dressed up, but at least we got some, right?! Of course, right! We have Ryan, Grandma, and Grandpa Burk on the left and Brookie, Kenzie, and Rachel on the right. I don't know how I didn't get a picture of my own mother! Psh! But she was there, and so was Shannon Perkins.
The man of the hour
Uncle David, one of Rachel's daughters (Adeline or the other one?), and Shane (Jacob and Shannon's) (Poor fella broke his femur. His cast is off now, and he is allowed to walk again. He kind of teeters back and forth like a penguin, his legs straight, and his leg muscles have atrophied, but he's up and about, and he's happy about that. :) )
Jeremy got a new grill, so guess what we had for dinner. ;)
Paul and Dad
Carrie was home with sleeping Taylor
Aaron and Paxton
Paxton got a haircut a few weeks ago, and then his mom left the equipment out "just for a minute," and he cut a stripe down the front of his head. She shaved the rest off.
Timmy's new hat
Hot pockets are not my thing, but the kiddos sure love them.
I know. More pictures of Henry. I just can't pick. He's too cute.
Henry was crawling around razzing this particular day, and then he found this fire truck to drive while he razzed. He played with it for like 5 minutes straight and then kept coming back to it.
Crawling!
The sunset is always so pretty - and we're actually getting grass! 2 or 3 of our trees died, but the others are hanging on.
Somebody dumped out the little blocks, and the hammer was stuck to this donut. Henry like it.
Timmy made himself at school. He named it Bob and laid it on the couch with a blanket and pillow. He had a lot of fun with Bob.
Bubby was hungry, so he took some hot dogs outside to cook. I'm glad he hasn't figured out how to turn on the gas!
I don't know what this is. Another creation that he demanded I take a picture of.
Bubby on Conference Sunday. He did have a diaper on! ;)
Those afternoon sessions get to everyone!
We had frog eye salad instead of fruit salad, and I made fajitas. The little ones played Legos and tangram blocks and ran outside. I didn't buy Play-Doh because Bubby got some for his birthday, and he ate it!
Timmy's guy
<3
I got sunburned at that auction! I could feel the sun boring into the tops of my feet too, but they didn't end up burned.
Jeremy made this guy out of some Play-Doh that somebody must have squirreled away somewhere. I didn't think we had any. He and Hyrum laughed and laughed.
And then he made him talk, and that was even more funny. No, we can't just watch Conference! ;)
Joshua made this one out of his kneaded eraser.
I stole this one that somebody put on Facebook. I'm really going to miss seeing Ben in the choir. :'( I'm thankful he got to do it. I'm glad for his family, though. :)
Grilling more burgers
Timmy's first lost tooth
Second lost tooth with some tears
But then he realized he was OK. :)
Benji's band concert. He's the one in the white shirt right next to the conductor. And then my phone was too full and I couldn't take any more photos.
Ringworm - oh, joy!
This birthday present was really late. I ordered it, and it never came. It turned out to be a scam, so Amazon reimbursed me, and then we ordered one from a reputable site, and it came. In case you don't get the reference, it's from World of Warcraft. He was quite pleased. (We still don't play that game. I am not sure that we'll ever find time for it again. But we have fond memories of it. It's still in our hearts, mostly because of our friends there.)
Timmy drew Charlie Brown and Snoopy.
We went up on Mt. Graham and picked apples. It really isn't that cheap, but it's for the experience that we do it. :) I think they're like $.70/lb., so it's pretty good, but it still ends up costing a lot. Here's Timmy.
Bubby
Michael
The nice people let us use two of their pickers.
Benji
Joshua thought this one looked like a camera
Hyrum
Henry and me
Papa
Hyrum
Bubby found the stream and crossed back and forth and got his new shoes all wet. Fun times!
I think Timmy was wearing Bubby's pants, but hey! He was wearing pants!
Henry was so cute sitting there in the window playing with a spoon. :) Yes, we do need to clean the porch, but look! Grass!
I stole this one from Jeremy. Isn't she pretty? She's ornery sometimes, but she's pretty, and she's pretty great too. :)
Timmy likes to make me take pictures of him. Here he is with Papa's earplugs.
Jill made a camera.
See that tooth dangling? :O He held his mouth open like that until the dentist finally convinced him he could close it. And he drooled all over the place. He made a big puddle on his seat in the car. Silly guy.
That was a stinky morning. Henry was on a nursing strike and bit me every time I tried to feed him, but he was so sad. And I was so tired because he was up long in the night. Argh! I took him to the doctor thinking he had an ear infection and also to see if they thought it was ringworm on his chest and find out what to do about it. He checked out fine, but they did give me a prescription for the ringworm. I guess he was just teething.
Fun at the fire station!
Jill and Timmy in the fire truck

Temporary tattoo
Timmy sent Grandpa Burk something. I didn't know what it was. I addressed the envelope. and away it went. Grandpa sent him this back. It says Luigi. Apparently, all Timmy sent was a little piece of paper that said Mario on it. Timmy was all happy with this response. He's been making all sorts of things for his grandparents lately, but mostly they get lost before he can send them. The other day he made an envelope for Grandma Badger. I opened it because I was curious, and because it wasn't closed very good. All it was was a little ripped off piece of paper. XD Can you feel the love? ;) It's the thought that counts, right?
Hyrum held the guy for me for a bit, and he fell asleep all scrunched up.
Timmy got a little box for his tooth.
His prize from the dentist was one of these little guys, but red. He loved it! He sat in the backseat on the way home and played with it and his tooth in a box. He had them talking to each other. XD Unfortunately, the hand broke off. He was so sad. We may have to get some more for his birthday because I enjoyed watching him so much. :)
Michael with his new glasses
Timmy was particularly sleepy this one morning, but he sat down and cut out the shapes of the letters to spell Dog.
This dolls arms and legs won't stay on, so Timmy gave it some prosthetics - plastic spoons. XD
On Thursday I walked with Michael down to the EAC library, where I got a card for him and for me. We found Hyrum on the way. It was such a nice walk! My boys love that library. On the way home we found this grate with slimy green water in it. Crazy!
I hurried and took a picture so I could take this down. I made this for that back to school feast a couple of months ago.
